Extra Spraying Support For Local Growers

GRIFFITH area growers can look forward to new levels of service and support for their spraying operations following the appointment of Codemo Machinery as the new local dealer for the popular Miller range of sprayers.

The latest Miller 7000 range, together with Banjo, TeeJet and Pentair Hypro spray application technologies, as well as the E-Kay crop dividers used on sprayers, will now complement the strong tillage line-up at Codemo Machinery.

Scott Jameson with national distributor for Miller, McIntosh Distribution, welcomed Codemo Machinery to the brand’s dealer group and praised its strong track record of service delivery and support to local growers.

“We are excited to have Codemo Machinery on-board as part of the Miller dealer network and to increase the levels of support to growers throughout the area,’’ Scott said.

The dealership has been supporting growers of broadacre irrigated crops including cotton, rice and wheat, as well as dryland broadacre crops, for more than 40 years.

Today, the company has 40 employees, including about 20 service technicians and a dedicated precision land management team, which also assists the guidance systems in the Miller sprayers.

“We have always had a strong focus on service and support,’’ said Simon Codemo.

“We maintain consistent service scheduling and we have a breakdown team to support growers.

“We particularly concentrate on preventative maintenance, including pre-season servicing.’’

The Miller sprayers also join the WeedSeeker 2 spot spraying system at Codemo Machinery from the same stable.

Simon said the Miller sprayers already were popular with various growers in the region for their front-mounted design and ability to perform multiple operations.

“They can be used for swathing and you can drop the boom off and fit a front-mounted fertiliser spreader. We also have a client who drops off the main boom to use a WeedSeeker boom.’’

“The Miller Spray-Air technology is another option. We have a lot of high value vegetable crops in the area and growers of those crops are keen on the air-assist spraying.’’

The latest Miller Nitro 7000 Series offers significant increases in both horsepower and torque via its IVECO power plant, along with improved fuel efficiency. Together with a spacious, well set-out new cab, it is providing improved drive performance.

“The new Miller sprayers offer an enhanced ride and added comfort for operators,’’ Simon said.

He said the latest WeedSeeker 2 spot spraying system from Trimble had introduced a host of new features.

“WeedSeeker 2 offers heaps of advantages for growers. One of its strongest features is the fact it is ‘ISO’ (ISOBUS) compatible – it’s the only one on the market with that.’’

“Camera technology is something most broadacre farmers have in their toolkit now because the savings on chemicals are huge.’’

McIntosh Distribution National Parts Manager Chris Elliott said Codemo Machinery and growers throughout the area would be promptly supported by the company’s parts distribution centres at Tamworth and in Perth.

“There is full access to all our parts range, with overnight delivery into the area from Tamworth or Perth,’’ Chris said.

“As a benefit with the time difference to Perth, parts can be ordered late from Griffith and delivered the next day. We are always just a phone call away.’’
