Perth-based McIntosh Distribution has become a reseller of the Trimble® WeedSeeker® system in Australia.
McIntosh Distribution will continue to operate the WeedSeeker business from the current location in Tamworth with all existing Crop Optics staff members.
"McIntosh Distribution would like to recognise the work done by the previous WeedSeeker distributor, Crop Optics, over the past 12 years," said Cameron McIntosh, director of McIntosh Distribution. "As a result of the dedication of the previous owners and staff of Crop Optics, the WeedSeeker system commands a strong position within the market in Australia as a market leader in selective weed control solutions," Cameron continued.
McIntosh Distribution has a large distribution network with many regionally based staff that will be able to continue the good work done by Crop Optics as well as offer locally-based support to the WeedSeeker dealer network and their customers.
"The continuation of the support for the system through the McIntosh Distribution company to the many WeedSeeker customers throughout Australia made the decision to exit easier," stated David Brownhill, Director of Crop Optics. "Knowing that all our customers were going to continue to receive the level of support that they expected was a major part of this decision," David continued.
"Having an existing national dealer network for other quality product lines means we are excited about what this opportunity presents to existing, as well as new, WeedSeeker owners," stated Cameron McIntosh.
This WeedSeeker distribution change comes into effect immediately and all previous contact details remain the same.
